Terms of service

Last updated 3 October 2026

In short

Use Tabcake for your own reading, keep your account to yourself, and do not try to get around its limits. What it keeps for you stays yours.

You must be 18, or have a parent's consent, to buy Pro. Payments go through Lemon Squeezy, and you can cancel at any time.

1. This agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Abhishek Santosh Gupta, who runs Tabcake (the Chrome extension, the dashboard and this website). By creating an account or using Tabcake you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use Tabcake.

2. Who can use Tabcake

You must be at least 16 years old to use Tabcake.

To buy a subscription you must be 18 years or older, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these terms for you.

3. Your account

  • An account is for one person. Keep your password and sign-in codes to yourself.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Tell us at abhishek@tabcake.com if you think someone else has used it.

4. Your content

What Tabcake keeps for you (the pages you read, your questions, your settings) stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to store it, process it with our providers and show it back to you, so that Tabcake works. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

You are responsible for having the right to keep what you read. How we handle your data is described in the privacy policy.

5. Acceptable use and misuse

Use Tabcake for your own reading. The following count as misuse:

  • sharing, selling or renting your account, or letting several people use one account;
  • using extension pairing codes, sign-in tokens or session cookies outside the Tabcake extension and dashboard, or using someone else's;
  • automated or scripted use to get around plan limits, such as the monthly question limit;
  • scraping, overloading, probing or attacking the service, or reverse-engineering it except where the law allows;
  • using Tabcake to store content you have no right to, or for anything unlawful or harmful.

If you misuse Tabcake, we may limit, suspend or close your account.

6. AI answers

Answers and summaries are written by AI models from the pages you read. They can be wrong or incomplete. Each answer cites its sources so you can check them. Do not rely on Tabcake for medical, legal, financial or other professional advice.

7. Plans, billing and renewal

  • Free includes search and, each month, 1,000 newly remembered pages and 100 questions. A month is counted from the day you sign up.
  • Pro costs $10 a month, or $96 a year ($8 a month), and has no limit on pages or questions. Current plans are on the pricing page.
  • Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record, which also charges any sales tax or VAT. Their checkout terms apply to the purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel.
  • If we change a price, we tell you by email before it applies to your next renewal.
  • If you stop paying, your account moves to Free. Nothing in it is deleted.

8. Founding offer

The first 50 accounts get Pro free for life: at no charge for as long as the account exists and Tabcake offers Pro. Seats go to accounts in the order they verify their email address, and are applied automatically when they do. The offer belongs to the account: it cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, and it ends if the account is deleted or closed for misuse.

9. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time and keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. You can get a refund within 14 days of your first payment. The details are in the refund and cancellation policy.

10. Closing an account

You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard. This permanently deletes everything in it.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Unless the breach is serious or the law prevents it, we will tell you first and give you a chance to export your data.

11. The service

We work to keep Tabcake running and your data safe, but we provide it “as is” and cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features. If we ever shut Tabcake down, we will give you at least 30 days' notice to export your data and refund any unused part of a yearly subscription.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date on this page and, for significant changes, tell you by email before they apply. If you keep using Tabcake after that, the new terms apply.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute goes to the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, including the Bombay High Court. This does not take away any protection you have under the laws of the country where you live.

15. Contact

Questions about these terms: abhishek@tabcake.com, or see the contact page.
