Some words about me:

My name is Melinda Lincoln and I've been with Division of General Studies since November 2006.  I'm a two-time graduate of S Carolina University in Charleston - also my hometown. As an undergraduate student I studied Psychology and Sociology and I have a master's degree in Community Counseling.  During my graduate program at SCU, I interned as a counselor at the university's Counseling Center and worked as a grad assistant with the Department of Educational Administration.  It was through those two positions that I developed my love for student affairs and the helping professions. 

After grad school, I worked as an Admissions Counselor for SCU, traveling and recruiting at high schools all over the state of S Carolina.  I recently moved to the Champaign area with my husband who works as a high school teacher and football coach. 

I'm the youngest of seven and my family is extremely important to me so I travel home often to visit my parents, four sisters, two brothers, and my eighteen nieces and nephews.  I also enjoy bike riding, baking and cooking and spending time with friends.
