Some words about me:

For as far back as I can remember, I've been interested in multimedia. Whether it was to be an animator at Walt Disney, a cartoonist or a web designer, I always have had a passion for design. Thus far in my life, I have pursued that passion.

I have seven years of experience in web design, marketing, graphic design and communication. It all started at Sunset Media, a multimedia company in New York, in the summer of 1998. For four summers between 1998-2002, I interned at Sunset Media, and it was here that I really became interested in the World Wide Web. While at Sunset Media, I helped the creative director and designers create websites for different companies. During these summers, I really learned how to use Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and HTML. It was also at sunset Media that I started to discover the fundamentals of design.

It was my experience at sunset Media that motivated me to major in multimedia in college. I began by looking at art schools to get my degree, but found that I wanted a more rounded education and a true college experience. At the time (in the year 2000), Hensington University was one of the few universities that offered a degree in multimedia.

While at Hensington, I explored more than just multimedia. I found that multimedia was integrated into several other areas of study, including advertising, graphic design and marketing, thus I double majored and double minored in these subjects. As mentioned, I attended a university because I desired a well-rounded education, and after receiving degrees in multimedia and communication (with a concentration in advertising) and graduating Summa Cum Laude, I feel I accomplished my goal.

While attending Hensington University, I worked for Fubix, Inc. for a year. While at Fubix I designed websites, posters, presentations and screensavers.

Towards the end of my college career I had many decisions to make. I applied for jobs in San Diego, California, and throughout Florida. It was Evrat, Thom & Co., the largest independent CPA firm in Florida, that called me for an interview. I had never been to Miami before my interview and I didn't have any family or friends there. Evrat, Thom & Co. made me an offer I couldn't pass up. Having been voted the "Best Place to Work in South Florida" and "Business of the Year" and with a gym, sauna and subsidized massages all in the beautiful tropical environment of Miami, it was the perfect job for me.

My position as Marketing Coordinator allowed me to work with a wide range of media including print, video, web and animation. It gave me the opportunity to work with vendors and get some of my own work published. The knowledge I gained at  Evrat, Thom & Co. is vast and I couldn't be more appreciative of this great company.
